Warekila Preschool is located in a quiet pocket of Nunawading, on the border of Blackburn North, in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Our kindergarten has been a part of the Whitehorse Community for over 55 years and was the first purpose-built kindergarten in the area when it was opened on 2 March 1968. We are a small, community-based, not-for-profit kindergarten, with an enthusiastic and active Parent Committee that is elected each year at our annual general meeting (AGM). |
Our kindergarten offers a long day four year old program and three year old program. Our play-based programs promote problem solving, risk taking, experimenting and exploring.
In addition to our regular program, we provide bush kinder once a month for our four year old group, offering children the chance to explore their local environment and develop an interest in nature.
Warekila Preschool is bright and inviting. Our indoor area has a unique hexagonal design that creates a light and spacious environment. Outside, we have a large shaded playground with play equipment, sandpit, mud pit, cubby house and open spaces for children to play.

Our kindergarten is located next to Warekila Reserve, which offers a wonderful extension for families to get to know one another beyond the kindergarten boundary.
